05 September 2025

On Thursday, 11 September 2025, the City of Cape Town’s Mobile Office will be presenting its basket of services offering at the CBD Hall in Khayelitsha. On the same Thursday, the Mobile Office team will also be at the Bothasig Community Hall and wrap up the week at the NG Kerksaal in Philadelphia on Friday. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the services that come along with each mobile office visit.

The details are as follows:

• Thursday, 11 September 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the CBD Hall, Cnr of Walter Sisulu Road and Steve Biko Drive, Khayelitsha
• Thursday, 11 September 2025, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Bothasig Community Hall, 3 Link Road, Bothasig
• Friday, 12 September 2025, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the NG Kerksaal, Church Street (Kleinplein), Philadelphia

The City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically.

The Basket of Services offering in Khayelitsha will see several City departments present their services and will assist residents with enquiries or concerns around:

• Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships, and apprenticeships
• Community, Arts and Culture Development to find out how you can get involved
• Business Hub and Jobs Connect
• Energy for meter related issues, billing issues and account concerns
• Health to find out more about primary health care services
• Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services
• EPWP and jobseekers to give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on jobseekers’ database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.

‘These visits all form part of the City’s commitment to bringing services to various communities and making local government more accessible to residents. By bringing these services right to the residents’ doorsteps they can engage with the City on a wide-range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collection, and all other account enquiries. Residents are reminded to bring along their IDs or municipal accounts to help ease the process on the day,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
